Sandy Harman, DNP, AGACNP-BC, ENP-BC, FNP-BC, LNC
Founder & Principal Consultant | CORE MedLegal Consultants, LLC

Sandy Harman is a distinguished Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience, including more than two decades of advanced clinical practice in emergency medicine, trauma, and acute care. She is triple board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC), and Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-BC), and holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.

As the founder of CORE MedLegal Consultants, LLC, Sandy brings unparalleled expertise to legal teams navigating complex medical litigation. Her consulting services include medical record chronologies, case merit reviews, standard of care analysis, and litigation support across personal injury, malpractice, emergency care, and worker’s compensation cases. She supports both plaintiff and defense counsel with objective, evidence-based insight.

Sandy’s unique value lies in her blend of clinical mastery and systems-level leadership. Throughout her career, she has served in supervisory roles across multiple facilities, mentoring new clinicians and ensuring high standards of patient care. She has chaired peer review committees, performing detailed evaluations of adverse outcomes and standard of care compliance. Additionally, she has contributed to institutional policy development, created department-wide evidence-based documentation templates aligned with billing and coding requirements, and supported quality improvement initiatives focused on risk mitigation and best practices.

An accomplished educator and public speaker, Sandy has delivered presentations on clinical topics at national conferences for over a decade. She also serves as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner and physician assistant students, fostering the next generation of advanced practice providers through mentorship and hands-on education.

She brings a unique and invaluable perspective to legal teams — not just identifying what happened in the medical record, but understanding why it happened, whether it aligned with the standard of care, and how to clearly explain it to a jury or opposing counsel.   Sandy’s consulting is rooted in real-world frontline experience — from trauma bays and rapid resuscitations to the boardroom — giving attorneys a credible, articulate, and deeply experienced medical-legal partner.
